Monmouthshire County Council was the first Local Authority in Wales to have an Open Data Policy and the Local Authority operates with an Open Government License.
The Council recognises that to deliver its vision of Monmouthshire as an iCounty it wishes to collaborate with businesses and communities to use its open data in helping to address social and environmental challenges in the County.

There are currently two key resources that local residents have access to open data. These are:
MyMonmouthshire
This resource provides local residents with information concerning civic life, planning applications, waste collection and other community information.
Monmouthshire Made Open
Made Open Monmouthshire is a social network for those who believe we can build a more sustainable and resilient Monmouthshire, by working together through sharing ideas and data.
Building on all the right ingredients the Council wishes to work in partnership with companies who share a common vision about making the County a key catalyst for digital advancement within the Cardiff Capital Region.
