Abergavenny Castle Events Feasibility Study

A feasibility study to identify the potential for Abergavenny Castle events in both the Castle grounds and within the museum building. The study would include extensive community and business consultation to ensure that any events complement rather than compete with the existing local offer and have a sustainable legacy.  The study will consult with the local community and businesses about the potential for public, private and corporate events; also consider existing events in Abergavenny and how the Castle can be used to complement these events and fill any gaps.  The consultant will also develop an outline business plan, marketing strategy and event programme and identify local businesses that could be involved with events, eg food producers and create a venue specific event toolkit from existing toolkits that are already available.

It is expected that the Project brief will be put onto the Sell 2 Wales website and that a consultant will be appointed  in March 2017 with the study being completed within six months.

The total project is expected to cost £7,500 – £10,000 – with the RDP Leader funding contribution being £6,000 – £8,000.Abergavenny Castle
