Pen y Cae (Off Grid Energy Study)

This project has been successful in identifying feasible options for the sustainable energy use of a remote former shepherds hut known as Pen y Cae in the Grwyne Fawr valley above Abergavenny. The long term aim is that the building is restored to its previous use as an outdoor residential and day visit educational facility.

The applicant in their own words say ‘we therefore feel that, with the additional information given to us by the renewable energy survey, we are now well on the way to turning this project into a reality’.
